Majors: Marketing Conc. – BSBA
GPA: 3.0 minimum
Minimum Experience: 2nd or 3rd co-ops please
Location:
Hybrid. 2 days a week in the Boston office, 3 days a week remote.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a creative and motivated Social Media Co-Op to join our brand and creative team at Zipcar. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in social media marketing and digital content creation. You will assist in managing Zipcar’s social media channels, developing engaging content, and analyzing campaign performance among other responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Brainstorm monthly social content and work with brand and creative team to create the assets (photography, copy, etc.)
Manage social media content calendar and schedule/post all finalized content in our social media management platform.
Monitor and respond to comments on social media (Instagram and X) in a timely manner.
Stay up to date on social media trends to recommend content that is trending.
Track and analyze social media metrics to assess performance and suggest improvements.
Assist with management and execution of influencer campaigns, brand partnerships, marketing campaigns and other miscellaneous tasks.
Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program with a concentration in Communications, Marketing, English, or Creative field.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with major social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok) and their best practices.
Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and manage deadlines.
Passion for social media and digital marketing.
Interest and/or experience in content creation, photography, and/or graphic design is a plus. (We use Canva and are interested in other tools to help create quick content!)
Flexibility and willingness to try new things.
