Avis Budget Group is seeking a full-time Fleet Distribution Supervisor based at our Vancouver location.
 

This exciting position will interface daily with rental operations managers and the fleet manager to ensure proper identification and movement of rental car fleet.
 

This position reports directly to the Production & Distribution Manager.
 

What you’ll do:

  • Analyzing the availability of vehicles at assigned locations to determine which movements must be made; discusses vehicle availability and expected rentals with each location, and recommends changes to reservations as needed.
  • Coordinating the shuttling of vehicles based on calculated priorities and location need.
  • Coordinating with the Lead Service Agents and Service Agents for cleaning of fleet and readiness.
  • Preparing monthly forecasts to determine fleet trends, movements, and needs. May partner with Fleet Analysts to incorporate forecasts into area-level reports.
  • Collecting, analyzing, evaluating, and reporting all pertinent data relative to assigned fleet segments in an overall effort to minimize the size of the fleet while meeting the projected rental activity demands.
  • Monitoring and controlling non-revenue fleet segments to ensure a smooth transition to peak fleet levels and prevent the restriction of rental activity.
  • Developing new policies that support operational and control procedures to promote the efficient completion of work; reviews and evaluates work being accomplished to ensure compliance with existing policies and procedures.
  • Receiving, resolving and reviewing Emergency Road Service calls and incident reports to adhere to established time frames and policies.
  • Partnering with other managers (Operations, Maintenance & Damage) to optimize fleet distribution and minimize downtime of fleet vehicles
  • Scheduling and the use of overtime hours to maximize the effectiveness of the Fleet Distribution function. Providing individual feedback to improve performance, and initiates corrective action in response to personnel problems.
  • Review VOTC (Customer Service Measurement) issues as it relates to Fleet readiness, checkins, and vehicle cleanliness.
  • Directing the training of new employees to perform their duties in a manner consistent with company standards.
     

What we are looking for:

  • Associates Degree or 3 years of work experience
  • Management experience an asset.
  • Ability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Valid B.C. Class 5 or higher drivers license, with a zero-demerit driving record with no prohibitions or restrictions.
     

The successful candidate must be willing to do and/or possess the following:

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to effectively interface with all levels of management.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills required
  • Ability to work well independently and in a fast-paced environment
