What you’ll do:
- Managing the Health & Safety Program within an Area constructed of multiple Locations/Brands located throughout several states/cities.
- Be the Area subject matter expert around the following topics:
- Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA)
- Department of Transportation (DOT)
- Injury Prevention
- Drug & Alcohol
- Workers Compensation
- Business Continuity
- Work closely with:
- Human Resources Business Partners
- Workers Compensation Risk Manager
- Area Operations & functional leadership
- Demonstrate the ability to build trust and confidence with the Operations Team.
- Develop Health and Safety plans in the workplace according to legal requirements.
- Evaluate practices, procedures, and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law.
- Review location Safety inspections and suggest ways to make improvements.
- Investigate incidents to discover root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new risk prevention measures.
- Influence change through providing comprehensive data and risk assessments.
- Implement Health & Safety goals and strategies based on broader organization goals.
- Report issues and statistics to Area Leadership.
- Participate in Area and Regional Leadership meetings.
- Coordinate Monthly Workers Compensation Calls
- Coordinate Monthly DOT Calls
- Develop & optimally communicate a wide range of safety performance metrics
- Ability to help connect dots for clients and peers to the H&S Program (i.e. connecting HR & operations to potential employment considerations around workers compensation)

- Ability to communicate to a multidisciplinary workforce including senior management.
- Good project management skills.
Good-Faith Salary Range:
- The annual starting salary for this position is between $100,000 – $130,000 annually. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
- This position is also eligible for a 20% Targeted annual bonus.
