About this Role

Zipcar’s business-to-business partners are critical for the company’s growth. The B2B Partnerships Program manager is responsible for leading all day-to-day activities to execute and expand Zipcar partnership programs ensuring achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial plans. The scope includes Uber Driver and future new partner programs.

This role reports directly to the Head of B2B and Partnerships. Success in this position demands a customer-centric and solutions-oriented approach, with an urgency to achieve positive outcomes for both the company and its partners. The ideal candidate will possess a proven ability to effectively connect various parts of the organization to drive results for both internal and external partners. Building and maintaining strong, long-term partner relationships through productive and collaborative efforts is equally crucial for success in this role. 

What You’ll Do

  • Lead day to day activities for strategic partners such as Uber Driver to deliver financial targets and ensure contract compliance. Identify opportunities and surface obstacles to drive milestones to timely completion and deliver goals.
  • Function as main point of contact for local operations teams to execute and optimize partner programs. Ensure successful launches, ongoing program success, and contract compliance. 
  • Lead internal program execution with additional cross-functional teams such as sales operations, product, marketing, member services, finance, and Avis partnership teams. Continually improve each partnership performance by identifying action areas and effectively steering implementation.
  • Lead partner relations. Drive growth opportunities and resolve challenges to mutually positive outcomes and lasting, profitable program performance. 
  • Help develop the partnership business. Identify and execute current partner growth opportunities such as through geographic expansion, fleet mix, new use cases. Support the Head of B2B and sales teams to win new partners. 
  • Track and report on program performance to internal and external stakeholders. Prepare program reporting and analysis on a regular basis in addition to QBRs and strategic program presentations.
  • Identify areas of improvement to continue to improve Zipcar's current and future partnership programs.

  • Knowledge of Zipcar and Zipcar operations and local go-to-market activities. 
  • Experience with Sales, Partnerships, and/or deal-making with outside partners. Empathetic and able to build lasting, mutually beneficial business relationships.
  • Ability to effectively partner with key internal stakeholders to drive business results. 
  • Experience with financial / business management and proven ability to deliver business targets and plans.
  • Sound decision maker with a bias for action and solutions. Effective at problem solving. Able to make informed and meaningful decisions with justification.
  • Comfortable with data. Able to conduct analyses, synthesize information, develop insights, and propose actions based on data-driven information.
  • Self-starter and goal oriented. Demonstrates a bias for action. Able to execute on initiatives with high-level guidance to deliver targets.
  • Excellent communication skills across an organization at all levels including C-suite.
  • Organized and able to effectively juggle multiple projects, customers, and inputs at once.
