A unique opportunity has become available to join our amazing team as our North Island Fleet Manager looking after our fleet across the North Island.
About the role:
You will be responsible for ensuring the effective management of the North Island Fleet Operations across the Avis, Budget and Apex brands. This includes ensuring optimal fleet revenue performance through the maximisation of fleet availability by category, location, and brand, as well as effective fleet forecasting.
You will use your previous experience to lead the NI fleet team in supporting our 16 North Island Branches to maximise fleet utilisation and drive customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Revenue Management - Drive operational performance of the fleet to maximise revenue opportunities.
Net Promoter Score & Customer Service – Work closely with location managers to ensure we have the right balance between Utilisation and Customer Satisfaction.
Fleet and Utilisation Management – Ensure vehicle compliance, inventory control, forecast fleet requirements, vehicle in-fleet and de-fleeting, and cost management.
Relationship Management – Build and manage effective relationships with key stakeholders including NZT, Car dealerships, testing stations.
Workplace Health & Safety – Ensure workplace H&S plans, policies and procedures are implemented and maintained within your area of responsibility.
To be successful in this role, you will have a high-level of people and operational management experience, ideally in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. In-depth knowledge of fleet management principles will be advantageous.
What we are looking for:
Previous experience in field operations and fleet management, particularly in a transportation related field demonstrating capability in all core fields: Customer Service; Sales, Logistics, Finance with a proven track record. Experience within the car rental industry will be highly advantageous.
Experience in supervisory or leadership role.
Demonstrated understanding & use of the Customer Service and Sales Process
Commercial acumen with proven ability to maximise sales and location performance, minimise business costs and work towards achieving strategic goals.
The ability to analyse processes and information, identify problems and trends and develop effective solutions and strategies.
The ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously across multiple sites.
High level of attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills.
Excellent interpersonal, leadership, coaching and conflict resolution skills.
Strong verbal and written communication abilities
Advanced computer skills; Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel, Outlook,
A Full Drivers’ licence.
